COSI (EMEA) Workshop and Training 2026

Location:
Faculty of Advocates, Edinburgh

This year, we are delighted to hold a one day event, based around training and customer sharing, to be held in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland’s historic capital on Thursday 9th July, 2026. COSI (EMEA) 2026 is hosted by the Advocates Library, a SirsiDynix customer since 2022, and we are most grateful to the Head of the Library, Iain Young, for allowing us access to the private library associated with the Faculty of Advocates. In response to discussions at previous COSI (EMEA) events, it was determined to try a one day event, with a single stream, hosted by a SirsiDynix customer. This will help cut down on costs for the day, making it more affordable for attendees. It is hoped that this format will allow for more people to attend, and disseminate their SirsiDynix knowledge.

At just £25 to attend (including lunch and refreshments) the event will be a great opportunity to share and learn. Programme highlights so far include:

  • SirsiDynix product and company updates.
  • Lightning talks on Enterprise tabbed search results and Harvest Unleashed.
  • A succession planning discussion for outgoing and incoming system administrators.
  • A profile of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Registration is now open!

Social Activities

If you are coming up the day before, or staying on, Committee members welcome you to join them for dinner at an appropriate hostelry. There may well be a tour of the Advocates Library after the close of the Training and Customer Sharing Day – this is a private library, so is not open to the public, and is involved in so much of Edinburgh’s history; it is well worth a visit. Details to be confirmed closer to the event.

Accommodation

As this is a one day event we have not organized central accommodation. A (by no means exclusive) list of local hotels is available upon registration.
